This new ASCAP listing all but confirms reports that Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Wildflowers” is featured in the upcoming film “Teen Spirit”, starring Elle Fanning.
Although the teaser trailer credited Jack Antonoff as having produced the song and Elle Fanning as the performer, it made no mention of Carly’s involvement. This led some fans to question whether or not it was the same Carly Rae Jepsen track that had previously leaked years ago.
It had been previously confirmed as being the same song by an attendee who had seen the film premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. However, with this new ASCAP listing, we now have tangible evidence:
