I don’t normally comment or report on negative things on this site, but It has come to my attention from several Carly fans on Twitter that Amy Guess’s new song “Late Night” may have taken some creative liberties with Carly Rae Jepsen’s song ,”Run Away With Me”. Take a listen:

Several elements sounded very similar, including the overall production, beats, chords, verses, and the drop before the chorus. The primary things missing are the saxophone and soaring chorus.
No comment has been made from Carly’s camp or anyone involved with her music. It is possible that they are not yet aware of this song or that they don’t care enough since this is a new artist and the song is somewhat unknown.
I’ve also posted this thread on ATRL if any of you want to comment on it.
